Thursday (Feb 26)
4pm: Check-in opens at The George
Inveraray, Scotland
The George is Scotland's oldest family-run hotel (since 1860). Dinner and after-dinner drinks are both on-site, so we recommend everyone stays here (though there are other great accommodations nearby, too). Peter has a block of rooms in case the hotel sells out, so contact him if that's the case!
8pm: Welcome dinner
The Restaurant @ The George, Inveraray
We have "The Front Lounge" reserved. The reservation is under Peter's name.
10pm: Drinks
The Pub @ The George, Inveraray
The Pub & Whisky Snug was Scotland's bar of the year 2022. Somehow both "straight out of the 1800s" and elevated at the same time, with a *deep* whisky selection.
Friday (Feb 27)
Friday is informal! The only required schedule item is to get yourself to Islay. Explore as you wish, on the mainland and/or on Islay.
7am, 1pm, or 6pm: Ferry to Isle Islay
Port Kennacraig, Scotland
There is only one ferry to Islay - details and tickets here. It's a beautiful 2-hour ride on the open sea. The ship is very big, so onboard motion is minimal. See Key Details page for more info on ferry logistics.
3:30pm: Whisky tasting at Bowmore Distillery
Bowmore, Islay, Scotland
The 1pm ferry arrives at 2:55pm, and it's a 25-minute drive to Bowmore (where most/all of us will be staying). Put your bags down at your accommodations and join us for a taste of Islay's famous peaty scotch. Reservation is under Dani's name. (It's also OK to show up late and join us!)
6:45pm: Gathering (with food and drink)
The Signature Restaurant @ Ardbeg House, Port Ellen, Islay
Whether you want to eat, drink, or just hang, we'll be gathering at Ardbeg House - first at the restaurant for light bites and then to the bar. The bride- and groom-to-be anticipate staying till at least 8:30pm. It's a 17-min drive from Bowmore.
Saturday (Feb 28)
2:15pm: Shuttle departs Lochside Hotel for Islay House
Lochside Hotel, Bowmore, Islay
Guests staying in any Bowmore hotel should board here. We'll have one shuttle so please be on time! The shuttle will return you to Bowmore at the end of the night.
2:30pm: Shuttle departs Islay House for Ceremony
Islay House, Islay
After the ceremony, we'll come back to Islay House for the reception. So feel free to leave any belongings at Islay House.
3pm: Wedding Ceremony
TBA location, Islay
The ceremony will be outside! See the Key Details page for full ceremony info. We'll do some photos after the ceremony, including at least one "full wedding" photo, before shuttles take us back to Islay House.
5pm: Cocktail hour

The full property is ours, so explore the many common rooms, grab a cocktail (or non-alcoholic drink) and settle in!
6pm: Dinner and reception

10pm: After party at Bowmore Hotel Bar

There's but one bar open till midnight on Islay. It's a local's delight. Those of us with some exploring and/or darts games still in us will head there to cap the night.
